A New Tradition: A perfect example of a bad start with a great finish...

This past Labor Day, we established a new tradition. The day started with me wanting to do something cool on the last day before Channy started school. He had wanted to go to a water park, so we decided to go to Cobblestones. I called to ask if they were open, after all, it was Labor Day. They told me they were open, and I even asked what the water temp was like... "Cold" was the answer that I got. So, after driving for 45 minutes, we pull up to the gate and...

THEY ARE CLOSED!

It was almost like Chevy Chase finding out Wally World was closed in National Lampoon's Vacation! But, I was determined to not let it ruin our day. I called Pocahontas to see if their water park was open. "Yes", so it was a go! Two and a half hours after starting our adventure, we ended up at Pocahontas.

Now, what do you think the water was like? All that I can say is, a penguin would have said "Holy crap, that water is cold!". So, despite the frustrating start and the freezing water, a new tradition has been born. From this day forward, we will be hitting a water park on Labor Day...
